Here’s how we raised one train company’s profile, while keeping costs down.

When London Midland announced they needed a new brand, we jumped to attention quicker than a Thermos-hugging trainspotter catching his first glimpse of the 6:12 to Uttoxeter.

Rising from the ashes of Central Trains and Silverlink, London Midland wanted to position themselves as the comfortable, speedy and affordable alternative to Virgin.

Five agencies pitched, but only RBH could give them a distinctive look that clearly pushed the benefits of the service. Along with a down-to-earth tone of voice that set them above the competition. And all without breaking the bank.

While the pennies were being squeezed, the ideas came thick and fast.
RBH developed a strong personality that could easily take brand and retail messages across any media. A rich mix of 48 and 6 sheets, radio, online and DM ideas made the new service from Trent Valley to London truly unmissable.
